Welcome Back

From Monday 15 June, we look forward to welcoming you back to enjoy the remarkable world of Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour. Expect new measures to help make sourcing safe, seamless and inspiring. The safety and welfare of our community of showrooms, colleagues, partners and visitors remains our number one priority, and adhering to government guidance, we have applied significant social distancing measures.

Clear information and wayfinding signage have been placed at key locations and temperature checkpoint devices can be found in in all ground floor lift lobbies and at the North and South entrances. We are continuing a rigorous cleaning regime: high touchpoint areas including handles, buttons, balustrades, doors, lifts and washrooms will be cleaned throughout the day, and there will be increased accessibility and visibility of hand sanitisers at multiple stations. Physical measures will include the capacity of two people in washrooms and lifts, while the use of stairs will be encouraged wherever possible.

In line with government guidance, masks are mandatory for visitors.

Welcoming you back is a hugely positive step not only for the Design Centre, but also for the long-term future of the design industry. In the last weeks people have adapted to a virtual reality, but what has been missing is the personal connection we all need for inspiration. At the Design Centre, there is an abundance of designer know-how all under one roof and expert guidance at every turn. The wealth of insider knowledge here is truly extraordinary, and showroom teams, who you know and trust, are eager share it with you once again.

Check with individual showrooms for their opening times during this transitional phase as we ease out of lockdown.

Our decor has never come under greater scrutiny or become so central to our lives. Do you need new curtains, a lamp or sofa, or perhaps an overhaul of the entire house is in order? For the trade, the speculation has proven true. People cooped up in their houses are craving change and interior designers have taken on new work and are completing existing projects.

For professionals and design enthusiasts alike, nothing beats seeing beautiful products in person. After weeks staring at a computer screen, it will be an uplifting experience to return to see exquisite detailing and the dramatic use of colour and pattern once again. At the Design Centre we celebrate makers – their skill and craftsmanship cannot be underestimated, and we are committed to keeping supply chains going.

Our Designer Sourcing and Personal Shopping Services are on hand, helping to source and advise. With an in-depth knowledge of all that the showrooms have to offer, the complimentary service focuses on finding products that suit individual requirements.
