Interior designer Laura Hammett has created a lighting collection in collaboration with Bella Figura. Facet consists of five pieces – a round chandelier, rectangular chandelier, lantern, wall light and table lamp – which feature brushed bronze, gold or nickel frames, and ‘dry ice’ glass that produces a warm, calming glow.
“I wanted to play with the form of the glass to really emphasise its qualities,” says Hammett. “The natural light in the room hits each facet of the glossy surface in such a beautiful way. I also love the scale of the pieces: wall lights and pendants can often look very lost in a room, so I wanted to create some large forms and volumes which would become the feature of the room.”
Bella Figura’s lighting is all made in the UK or Italy and in Facet‘s case, the materials were sourced from family-run businesses in Venice. The collection is shown off in all its glory in a Knightsbridge residential project that Hammett has recently brought to completion, pictured above.
