Between The Lines
A simple idea with a raft of ways to execute it; ‘Deck Chair’ is a new tile design from Artisans of Devizes. Each 20x20cm porcelain tile can be laid to create a solid stripe, horizontally or vertically, a graphic basketweave or even a random pattern. Stripes are great for small spaces such as bathrooms: vertical stripes can give the illusion of higher ceilings while horizontal ones can make a rooms seem longer or wider.
‘Deck Chair’ is suitable for walls and floors, and both inside and out, making it even more versatile, and colours include pink and white, a rainbow stripe and a sweet-shop-bright rhubarb and custard. For next-level pastel playfulness, combine with another new offering, ‘Unicorn’ (pictured on walls, above left), an ombré iridescent tile.
