A Celebration of Culture and Creativity

Walpole chose Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour to host its annual Walpole Cultural and Creative Dinner. CEOs and creative directors from some of the UK’s leading luxury brands enjoyed a Laurent Perrier reception and three-course dinner before guest speaker Frances Christie, head of Modern & Post-War British Art at Sotheby’s, gave a fascinating insight into British art.

From the Bloomsbury Group to Bowie, she discussed its impact on popular culture worldwide. Walpole is the official sector body for UK luxury. Founded in 1992 as a not-for-profit organisation, it counts more than 250 British brands in its membership and is recognised in both Westminster and Brussels. Its purpose is to promote, protect and develop a sector worth £48 billion to the UK economy.
