Luxury Honoured: Walpole
At a glittering ceremony key figures from the world of luxury came together at the annual Walpole British Luxury Awards. Playing an important role, Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour presented master watchmaker Roger W. Smith with the award for Best British Craftsmanship. Other nominees included Aston Martin and superyacht designers Redman Whiteley Dixon. Also in attendance was Victoria Beckham who was honoured with Best British Luxury Brand of the Year and Julia Peyton-Jones OBE who took home the Leading Light of British Luxury award. According to recent research carried out by Walpole, the luxury industry in the UK is now worth over £32 billion. The evening celebrated excellence in terms of quality, style, design, craftsmanship, creativity, service and innovation, both within Britain and internationally.
